Mission

The mission of the Youth Clubs of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is to provide carefully designed programs of activities that will enhance youth club members, through mind, body, and spirit as they work within their various communities to help others.

History of the Archonette Club

The Archonette Club is an organized youth club sponsored by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  It was first organized in the early 1950’s for all youth involved with the Sorority, as Zetalites, Archonettes, or Amicettes.  However, participation in the Club activities quickly increased to the point that the club was divided into two age groups.  The High schools girls kept the name  of the Archonette Club, which accepts members who are in the high school grades of nine through twelve (9-12).  The younger girls became the Amicette Club. (Ages 9-13), and in the 70’s, the Pearlette Club (ages 4-8) was organized.

Beta Tau Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  is dedicated to working with and serving the community.  One of our special goals is to provide the youth of our community with positive role models and activities to help them grow.  In September or October, the Archonette Club will begin to recruit "fine" young ladies between the ages of 14 and 18.

Potential members must meet the following criteria:

  • Young ladies in senior high school

  • Young ladies willing to strive for the highest ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

  • Young ladies who are willing to demonstrate the potential for good leadership and are willing to work as part of a group
